Ethosoft Conferences & Competitions

Taking our work outside our own room.

A record of the international conferences, competitions, and workshops where Ethosoft has presented its work, met other teams and researchers, and tested its ideas outside its own working environment. Local hackathon and competition results live in our achievements record; this page is for the international ones, with a full page for each.

Why this record exists

From competitions to research culture.

Ethosoft's early period was shaped heavily by competitions and hackathons—see our achievements for that record. Over time, the underlying question shifted from “can we build a good project?” to “how do we make this project scientifically stronger, measurable, and open to scrutiny?” The international events on this page mark steps in that shift, not just results.

International competitionRoboCup · Incheon, South Korea

RoboCup Incheon

RoboCup Incheon was one of the most significant milestones in Ethosoft's journey: the point where our work moved outside Türkiye for the first time. We didn't just attend an event—we presented our academic work in an international setting and shared an ecosystem with researchers and technology teams from other countries. For us, the value of that experience went well beyond any placement.

What changed
Developing a project inside your own team is one thing; presenting it, explaining its technical approach, answering questions, and encountering different perspectives in front of people from many countries is a different experience entirely. RoboCup showed us how Ethosoft's work could position itself not only in local competition settings but within the international technology and research ecosystem.
Technical communication
Building research is one skill; explaining it simply and accurately is another, and RoboCup pushed us to develop the second.
International perspective
Seeing how teams from different countries approached the same problems led us to question our own working methods.
Research culture
We started asking more than “does it work?”—how a project is evaluated, what assumptions it rests on, what limitations it has, and how it should be documented became part of how we think about a project.

Why it matters: a small team that started in Türkiye presenting its work internationally in South Korea remains a milestone for us. There is a longer road ahead, but the goal is unchanged: research, build, and bring the technologies we develop to a level that creates value at an international scale.

COLM 2026

Ethosoft's presentation record for the 2026 conference season: three workshop-event presentations, one of them co-located with COLM 2026 (the Conference on Language Modeling) in San Francisco, spanning language-model safety measurement, reinforcement-learning credit assignment, and reward design for agent planning.

Presentations
3 workshop-event presentations, 2026.

Why it matters: the first time three separate Ethosoft research lines—safety measurement, RL credit assignment, and agent-plan reward design—were presented in the same conference season.
